pova curve 2 5g

What Happened

TECNO has officially launched the POVA Curve 2 5G, expanding its popular POVA series. The smartphone was announced on February 13, 2026, in Hong Kong and is set to be available in India later this month. The device is also being showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026).

Why It Matters

The POVA Curve 2 5G features a slim profile, measuring just 7.42mm thick and weighing 195g, while housing a significant 8000mAh battery, the largest ever in a TECNO phone. This design makes it one of the thinnest smartphones in its segment with such a large battery. The device also boasts a curved AMOLED display and a futuristic design inspired by interstellar spacecraft, available in three color options: Melting Silver, Storm Titanium, and Mystic Purple.

For durability, the POVA Curve 2 5G is equipped with IP64 dust and water resistance, SGS-certified 1.5m drop protection, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. It is engineered to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C. Additionally, the smartphone will receive two major Android OS upgrades, ensuring longer software support.

What’s Next

The POVA Curve 2 5G supports 45W fast charging and includes bypass charging technology to minimize heat during gaming or while plugged in. The battery is TÜV SÜD certified, designed to maintain performance for up to six years. As the device becomes available in India, it is expected to attract consumers looking for a powerful yet slim smartphone.
