On February 9, MegaETH’s mainnet went live, introducing a real-time Ethereum Layer 2 solution aimed at enhancing blockchain applications for Indian users. The platform targets an impressive throughput of up to 100,000 transactions per second (TPS) with sub-second finality, as reported by various sources.

This development is significant as it simplifies the onboarding process for first-time users through Transak’s instant Indian Rupee (INR) on-ramps. The MegaETH platform’s ability to achieve 55,000 TPS during early stress tests indicates its capacity to handle consumer-grade applications effectively.
